ActionFTP Release 3

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

I’ve received a few requests for new features, and implemented them a while back, but forgot to actually upload and release the new DLL! (At least it’s had plenty of testing though)

  • You can now specify custom filenames for each upload (either for every upload, or if there is no window title already)
  • You can chose to copy the clipping URL to your clipboard before the upload starts, or after it finishes (or not at all)
  • Added the option to let you save a local copy of annotated/edited files
  • Made the unique ID appended to filenames a bit longer

This release also should fix a rare bug with some strange characters causing problems in the URL copied to the clipboard (though the upload worked fine).

Please see the CHANGES.txt and README.txt in the zip file for more information.

Enjoy! :D

ActionFTP Final Release 2

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

I encountered a very rare bug when trying to handle filenames with strange (usually non-ASCII) characters in them, so I’ve created an updated release to try and fix that. I’ve also vastly improved the error messages you get if you do encounter a new bug.

I’ve also changed from using RAR files to ZIP files, so you don’t require a proprietary application to extract the add-in :)

ActionFTP Beta 3

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Just a quick update to the previous release of ActionFTP, that fixes a large bug in the settings saving/loading code which often prevented the settings window from opening and a small, rare bug I encountered regarding the FTP port option (which may have been related to the settings bug, but who knows) :)

See the original or beta 2 posts for more info.
