Snow
In England
That… like… never… happens! (At least not in London) :P
I took some photos and put them on my Flickr page

Edit: It snowed again next Thursday, and I got the day off University as a result

Well this was a good excuse of a post… I’ll have to post something longer next time

I’ve bought myself a new phone!
Well… I got it on contract, but hey, same thing :P
It’s the new Sony Ericsson K800i, complete with 3.2 MegaPixel camera, Bluetooth, Video Calls and everything else you’d expect from a high-end phone
So far I’m very impressed with it - very easy to use and setup. The PC software works well for transferring files, and the synchronisation application is neat too
The camera takes great photos, and the flash is pretty useful too - it also has an orange/red light that comes on while focusing to help reduce any red-eye in your photos. There is a built-in mp3 player, which can play through the hands-free kit or through the on-board speaker - the speaker sounds pretty decent, considering how small it is.
If you’re having a hard time choosing phones, or can’t chose between this one and another one, you can’t go wrong getting this one. I may have only had it a few hours so far, but it’s hugely impressed me so far, and I doubt it will fail to impress you either!
Edit: I’ve taken some photos of it, view them on my Flickr page. I also took a few comparison shots showing how small the new Sony M2 memory card is compared to a normal SD card - these are also on my Flickr page

Happy Birthday to me!
Before anyone asks, or suggests it, I won’t be getting drunk or doing anything stupid. Well… I’m not planning to… yet. We will see :P
I recall making an Amazon wishlist a few months ago, so if you’re feeling generous…
Or if you would like to send me a donation using PayPal, feel free

It’s been ages since I posted on here, so I thought I’d just tell everyone what’s been happening for the past month
L33TSig is doing very well, with about 930,000 hits as I’m writing this, and I predict it will hit 1 million before the end of the week too. I’m hoping to release Version 1.0 of the client once 1 million hits has been reached. A new website and forum template has been released now, which helps make it look more exciting :P
Unfortunately the ViewSonic VX912 that I purchased last month has developed a dead pixel, and I’ve just contacted the ViewSonic tech support about that (and an odd white/blue fading thing while viewing darker colors) 10 minutes ago, so hopefully that’ll be sorted within a week or two
I’ve upgraded my flight control system last week, from an old Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold to a top of the line Saitek X52, which features numerous hat switches, rotary controls, triggers, sliders, a small lcd display, and even lights on the buttons for night-flying
I also bought F.E.A.R. at the same time as my X52, and I completed it in about 4 hours
It’s a very good game, much better than Far Cry or Doom3, and just as good as Half Life 2. If you have a computer similar to mine, I highly recommend buying it, as it plays nicely, although it would have been better with a faster CPU…
Play the game in a darkened room at night for a really scary experience :P
Just a quick note that iPod earphones seem to be machine-washable and even machine-dryable, as mine were in my trouser pockets and were washed and dried… and they still work!
So if your’s are dirty you could try this… They were washed at 40C if you actually do wan’t to try it. Just don’t blame me if they break! :P
Apart from that, the world hasn’t ended (yet), and life continues to go on…

I know I’ve not been posting much on here - I havn’t posted since the start of January, and even then it was a short post!. I’ve been pretty busy over the past few weeks revising for pointless exams, completing coursework, and continuing work on L33TSig. Oh yes, I also spent a rather long time completing Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Man, that’s a good game! And playing it at 1280×1024, with full anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering is simply amazing. Here are a couple of screenshots: My Dodge Viper, Porsche Carrera GT, BMW M3 (only available after you get to #1 on the Blacklist).
Sorry if they’re slow to load, but Imageshack is down at the moment. I’ll re-upload once it’s back up
I’ve made a lot of progress on L33TSig, and have learnt quite a few new things in Visual Basic, as well as in PHP. I also learnt a fair bit about raw HTTP, which is how the L33TSig client sends the data and checks to see if it’s the latest version.
It also seems to be that time again, where I spend yet more money on upgrades for my computer
I’m not sure exactly what else I’m getting, but I do know for sure, that I will be getting a new Viewsonic VX924, a 19inch TFT monitor with a 3 millisecond response time, 550:1 contrast ratio and a 160° viewing angle. Apart from that, I’m probably going to get two OCZ Premium LE 512MB PC3200 (CL 2-3-2-5) DDR sticks to run in dual channel (along with my current 1GB stick which is in single channel). I don’t know what else I’ll get, if anything. I’ll just have to see
Edit: Well after reading a few reviews about the Viewsonic VX924 I changed my mind, and bought the Viewsonic VX912. It’s actually a more expensive and better one than the VX924. I also changed my mind about the RAM too, and got a new Western Digital 160GB SATA2 (300Mb/sec) hard disk instead
