Fr3d's DeskAfter I started a new job in the middle of last month, I decided to spend the half-month’s pay-cheque on two new Dell 2408WFP monitors! :D

It makes such a big difference, especially on my Mac, when comparing to what I had before (a nasty LG 17″)… Colours actually look right, and I don’t have to position my head dead-centre in order for it not to look inverted!

There have been several rumours flying round, saying that the 2408WFP’s have input lag problems. However, I don’t play games that much, and the few times I have (Half-Life 2: Death Match), I’ve noticed nothing. I do, however, watch a lot of (HD) movies on my PC: I’ve noticed no lag in these either. To be honest, a few milliseconds here or there really isn’t worth complaining about :p

All I need now is a new GPU so I can actually play modern games at 1920×1200! :)

K800i PhotoI’ve bought myself a new phone!

Well… I got it on contract, but hey, same thing :P

It’s the new Sony Ericsson K800i, complete with 3.2 MegaPixel camera, Bluetooth, Video Calls and everything else you’d expect from a high-end phone :D

So far I’m very impressed with it - very easy to use and setup. The PC software works well for transferring files, and the synchronisation application is neat too :)

The camera takes great photos, and the flash is pretty useful too - it also has an orange/red light that comes on while focusing to help reduce any red-eye in your photos. There is a built-in mp3 player, which can play through the hands-free kit or through the on-board speaker - the speaker sounds pretty decent, considering how small it is.

If you’re having a hard time choosing phones, or can’t chose between this one and another one, you can’t go wrong getting this one. I may have only had it a few hours so far, but it’s hugely impressed me so far, and I doubt it will fail to impress you either! :D

Edit: I’ve taken some photos of it, view them on my Flickr page. I also took a few comparison shots showing how small the new Sony M2 memory card is compared to a normal SD card - these are also on my Flickr page :)

Stealth - Original Score

Stealth

This is my second attempt at writing this post/review, as my browser closed the wrong tab and then lost the entire thing!

Anyway… Since watching Stealth earlier this year, I have been looking for the original score for it. I already have the “Music from the motion picture” soundtrack, but the original score is different. For a start, it’s a lot better than the rest of the music from the film…

The majority of the music in this score is written by BT, better known for his Electronica and Dance music, the score is still very well done, with a good mix of more “classic” movie music and then some of BT’s expertise in electronic sounds and mixes. Music from Michael Dimattia and Trevor Morris also features in this album.

I bought the album from Amazon.co.uk on Sunday, and it was delivered to me on Tuesday. Since receiveing it, I have listened to the songs on it between 7 and 26 times… They really are that good :)

Stealth - Original Score - Highly Recommended for fans of both Electronic/Dance music and Soundtracks/Classical alike :)
